Exercising from the comfort of your own home is a great way to save money and allows you to progress at your own pace. Here are some tips to help you as you start your fitness journey.
Warm-Up
Always make sure to warm-up before a workout. A proper warm-up will get you pumped and reduce the likelihood of injury. Try jumping jacks, dynamic stretches, or using a resistance band to get your heart pumping.
Be Consistent
Results don’t happen overnight. They come with regular training and dedication. Be reasonable with your goals and try not to do too much at once. Start with low weights and shorter workout sessions, then slowly progress as you get stronger and/or faster.
Schedule workouts on a regular basis and stick to the plan. If possible, working out with a friend helps with motivation and keeping consistent with your schedule.
Proper Nutrition
Exercising goes hand-in-hand with eating healthy, so make sure to eat lots of fruits, vegetables, lean meats for protein and plenty of water. If you aren’t getting enough nutrients in your diet, consider supplementing with a protein powder or whey blend.
